After working with the USA water polo developmental program in the summer of 2015, Miguel Martinez joined the Riverside Medical Sports Clinic in the fall of 2015 as the Certified Athletic Trainer at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. In addition to overseeing care to the Roosevelt athletes, Miguel also serves athletes at Whittier College and Pomona-Pitzer. Miguel proudly collaborates with Kinematics Physical Therapy and Sports Performance to provide medical coverage and care at local sporting events in the Corona-Norco arena.

Miguel completed his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at the University of La Verne in spring 2014. In the fall of 2017 he completed a certification in Speed and Explosive Training in part of pursuing his Master’s Degree in Performance Enhancement, Rehabilitation Science and Injury Prevention from the California University of Pennsylvania.

Miguel is originally from Las Vegas, NV and now lives in La Verne, CA with his daughter Liyah. He hopes to teach Sports Medicine at Roosevelt High School and to become a preceptor for the University of La Verne’s Masters in Athletic Training program (MSAT).
