Girls Varsity Golf · Roosevelt’s Girls Golfers Make School History

Wednesday, October 17th at Eagle Glen Golf Club in South Corona four members of the Roosevelt’s Girls Golf Team competed in Big VIII League Final Tournament.  Freshman Nathalie Jabonero finished 4th overall and qualified for the CIF Girls Golf Playoffs.  She is the First Roosevelt Girls Golfer to do so in school history.  Freshman Nia Fontelera finished 7th overall which earned her All League Honors.  Nathalie and Nia are also the first two female golfers from Roosevelt High School to earn All League Honors.  Sophomores Elizabeth Ramos and Denise Chan both finished 13th and 15th overall.  This is also the first time Roosevelt has had Four girls qualify for the League Final Tournament in Girls Golf.

I want to thank the entire Roosevelt Girls Golf team for an amazing and memorable season.  Great Job ladies.  You have all represented Roosevelt well both on and off the course.

Good Luck to Nathalie Jabonero who will be competing in the CIF Regional Individual Tournament next week Wednesday, October 24th at Western Hills Golf Club in Chino Hills.
