Back in May the NCAA approved the December signing period that lasts 72 hours, beginning Dec. 20 and running through Dec. 22. At this years early signing period your Roosevelt Mustangs had 3 of it’s outstanding student-athletes sign their National Letters of Intent to play football at the next level. Our three players who took advantage of this early period were QB Jeremy Moussa (U of Hawaii), WR/DB Chase Williams (USC) and DL/OL Andy Koch (Utah State). These players are pictured below.
Some of these players look to take advantage of this early signing and graduate early from ERHS. Once they graduate early they are allowed to enroll at their university and begin classes as soon as Spring 2018 as well as get ready for their 2018 season. There are two advantages of signing early, first it helps athletes have the relief of attaining one of their biggest goals officially. Secondly it allows some of them to participate in spring practices and lifting which in turn helps them catch up quick which most likely gives them a better opportunity of playing right away as a freshman. Congratulations to all of our Mustangs representing us at the collegiate level.
